DOE Invests $1.4 Million to Provide Workforce Development Opportunities in Energy Communities

DOE’s Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM) announced federal funding for 14 local organizations and universities representing communities across the country that will each create a roadmap toward repurposing their existing energy facilities.

  • Four Corners Economic Development Corporation (Farmington, New Mexico): Evaluating carbon capture and utilization technology on the Four Corners Generating Station near Fruitland, New Mexico, with skills training facilitated by San Juan College’s School of Energy.

 

U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Announces More Than $18 Million to Support Clean Energy Projects

DOE announced federal funding to four states and 20 local governments for the next round of Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program grants. These projects will help improve energy efficiency, reduce climate pollution and lower overall energy use.
