The New Mexico Energy Initiatives Consortium (NMEI) seeks to establish a community-centered research group that harnesses New Mexico’s expertise and energy resources. NMEI promotes collaborative and interdisciplinary research, outreach and education in crucial areas, including oil, gas, geothermal energy, renewables, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, batteries, critical minerals, and the essential role of water in energy systems.

NMEI aims to create comprehensive and transformative community engagement and education initiatives focused on energy in New Mexico.
