NM Energy Research, Outreach and Education

The goal of the initiative is to develop the New Mexico Consortium for Energy Sustainability and Advanced Management (CESAM). The objective is to gather New Mexico universities and national laboratories to advance energy research, education, and outreach. Initiated by the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (NMT), CESAM is planning to include as its core members the University of New Mexico (UNM), New Mexico State University (NMSU), Navajo Technical University (NTU), Sandia National Laboratories (SNL), and Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Any other organizations with activities in New Mexico are welcomed.

CESAM seeks to establish a community-centered research group that leverages New Mexico’s expertise and energy resources.

Its mission is to foster community engagement, education, and collaborative research on energy, helping New Mexico thrive.
