CESAM Workshop, November 7-8, 2024
The CESAM (Consortium for Energy Sustainability and Advanced Management) workshop in November served as the foundational step toward establishing a sustainable energy partnership in New Mexico by bringing together key stakeholders to explore collaboration opportunities, address challenges, and develop strategies for cooperation.
CESAM has now evolved into the New Mexico Energy Initiatives (NMEI) Consortium.
Thanks to the outcomes of the November workshop, the group was renamed, with New Mexico Tech leading the effort in collaboration with the state, national labs (SNL and LANL), and higher education stakeholders. This strategic development aims to create an effective consortium that can drive meaningful change in New Mexico’s energy landscape.

NMEI would like to express our sincere gratitude to the New Mexico Consortium for their generous sponsorship of the CESAM workshop. Without their support, this event would not have been possible. We also extend our special thanks to John Engen from NMC and Mike Doyle from NMT for their invaluable contributions and efforts in making this workshop a success. Your support has been instrumental in fostering collaboration and advancing energy research in New Mexico.
