📍 Fidel Center, New Mexico Tech, Socorro, NM

Workshop Overview

November 18th, 8:00 am – 12:00 pmThe workshop will bring together state energy stakeholders to identify the energy, economic, environmental, and subsurface data New Mexico needs to support its future energy decisions.

The workshop will combine short framing presentations with facilitated discussions focused on:

  • What data are currently available, and where are the most important gaps?
  • How can data from different agencies and organizations be better connected, standardized, and made accessible?
  • What new analyses, models, and decision-support tools should New Mexico prioritize?

The goal is to move beyond discussion and develop a prioritized set of data needs, analytical capabilities, and potential collaborative projects.

The workshop will also help identify opportunities for collaboration among state agencies, universities, national laboratories, utilities, industry, and other organizations to strengthen New Mexico’s long-term energy data and analytical capacity.
