New Mexico Energy Research, Outreach and Education

The New Mexico Energy Initiatives (NMEI) Consortium is an initiative led by New Mexico Tech (NMT), aimed at bringing together energy stakeholders across New Mexico to advance energy research, education, and outreach. While no official consortium has been formed to date, NMEI has already gathered numerous stakeholders who have expressed strong interest in collaboration and we are starting impactful projects.

In parallel with these discussions, NMEI is actively strategizing on its structure to ensure that it delivers meaningful results.

The initiative aims to expand its network to include all New Mexico’s academic institutions, utilities, industries, NGOs, and government entities.

We want to drive sustainable energy advancements in New Mexico while addressing stakeholder concerns.
