The conference and workshop will be held in the third floor of the Fidel Center at NMT. Look for NMEIC signs around Fidel Center.

Parking

  • Visitor parking is available in lots adjacent to the Fidel Center.

  • Parking is open to visitors and FREE.

Getting to Socorro

By Car: Socorro is on I-25, about 1 hr south of Albuquerque and 2.5 hrs north of El Paso. Exit toward Socorro / New Mexico Tech and follow signs to campus; the Fidel Center is near the center of campus.

Check-In & Hours

Registration desk: Fidel Center (3rd floor).

Open:

  • Monday, 16th: 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday 17th: 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Wednesday 18th: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Building Access

  • The Fidel Center features elevator access to the symposium room.

  • Session room, poster, and exhibit area are all on the main building.

  • The venue is fully accessible (ramps, elevators, accessible restrooms).

Food & Coffee

  • Morning coffee & snacks available at the exhibit area.

  • Lunch and dinner provided both days for registered attendees (see agenda for times).

  • Additional cafes and restaurants on the first floor of Fidel or within a 10 minute walk of the Fidel Center.

Lodging and EV Charging

  • Hotels are available along the California St. in Socorro (<5 minutes by car from campus).

  • Book early; November availability can be limited.

  • Limited EV charging is available near campus. Current locations are (1) Socorro plaza or (2) Socorro Best Western.
