Conference Overview

November 17th: The first day of the conference brings together leaders from government, industry, utilities, national laboratories, universities, and community organizations to explore how energy data can better support research, decision-making, infrastructure planning, and economic development in New Mexico. Through keynote presentations and expert panels, participants will discuss current data challenges, identify priority information needs, and explore opportunities to strengthen collaboration across the state’s energy ecosystem.

November 18th (morning only): The second day will feature an interactive workshop where participants will get involved in sector-focused groups to review New Mexico’s energy data landscape. Each group will identify valuable datasets, data gaps, priority indicators, and opportunities to improve publicly available information. This is an opportunity for participants to directly inform the continued development of DETECT by helping prioritize future datasets, analytical tools, and data-driven insights that support research, planning, and decision-making.
